If Brown’s ex-chef Steven Ruiz is to be believed, the seven-time Pro Bowler is not the only Bucs player implicated in the fake vaccination certificate scandal. That’s because the receiver was handed his certificate by a teammate, Ruiz explained, according to “ESPN.”
“He got it from another player who sells those,” the one-time Brown confidant is quoted as saying: “He came to the house several times. Brown lets his lawyer speak
Brown let his confidant’s statements be denied, saying through his lawyer Sean Burstyn: “Antonio Brown understands the seriousness of this pandemic and that’s why he got vaccinated and supports everyone for whom vaccination is recommended.”
The Buccaneers said they had checked all the players’ credentials and forwarded them to the NFL exactly as instructed. No irregularities had come to light in the process, it said.

According to the said newspaper report, which is also said to be based on a chat history, first “AB’s” girlfriend asked his cook to obtain a vaccination certificate, when he refused, the professional allegedly obtained the document elsewhere and presented it to his employee.
Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians, however, would not hear of the next looming scandal in Brown’s long list of misdemeanours. “There’s no story,” he explained in an interview with the “NFL Network. “
Arians irritated with statements
“Yeah, [Brown] says he’s vaccinated and has a pass, just like everybody else on our football team. There’s a trust factor that comes with that, and we’ve done our due diligence on everybody. The league will look at it and do their due diligence, but it’s really not a story,” Arians further stressed.
At the beginning of the season, Arians had announced that all Bucs professionals had been vaccinated. In the interview, however, he now irritated with contradictory statements.
The head coach was asked whether he had called Brown into his office to discuss the situation. “No, but someone else did,” said the 69-year-old, only to say a few words later: “I asked him. “
In addition, Arians stated that he was satisfied if a player showed him his vaccination certificate. There does not appear to have been any close scrutiny of this, although franchises are responsible for checking and recording a player’s vaccination status.
