It remains to be seen whether Odell Beckham Jr. will be able to play for his new employer this weekend. To convince him to join the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Sean McVay may be hinting at a system change.

Munich – When the Los Angeles Rams meet the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, the NFL world will be watching with anticipation.

It could be the first time the Rams have a full lineup and thus their new super team. In addition to linebacker star Von Miller, recently signed Odell Beckham Jr. could also make his debut for LA.

OBJ commitment in the realm of possibility

“We’ll see, but we don’t want to rush anything,” Sean McVay told “ESPN” when asked if “OBJ” will be on the Rams’ squad as early as Monday. The wide receiver didn’t fly to the City of Angels to sign his new contract until late in the week.

“If he can help us against the 49ers already, he’ll definitely be there,” the head coach went on to say about a possible debut for his new star player. As reported by the “NFL Network”, McVay has always been a fan of the flamboyant wideout.

So the successful coach of the Rams is said to have had his eye on the player already during Beckham’s time with the New York Giants. Ultimately, however, the offer from the Browns in 2018 was too good, so the Rams can’t compete here. Three years later, the two exceptional performers do end up working together.

In order to convince the 29-year-old to move to Los Angeles, the Rams first had to do some convincing. After a video call with cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who was able to quickly convince the entire wide receiver room about “OBJ”, the head coach also personally approached the pass receiver.

“We’re going to play with four receivers and we’re going to play with 10 personnel,” McVay reportedly said, according to the “NFL Network.””We’re going to get you here and we’re going to win a Super Bowl,” the coach indicated.
