Pittsburgh Steelers: Mega Deal! Chris Boswell Becomes Highest-Paid Kicker in History

Chris Boswell is staying with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the long term. The veteran has signed a four-year contract extension.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a contract extension with kicker Chris Boswell.

According to “ESPN,” the 35-year-old is receiving a four-year contract worth $28 million.

With an average annual salary of $7 million, Boswell ties with Brandon Aubrey of the Dallas Cowboys.

Both are now the highest-paid kickers in NFL history.

Boswell was originally set to enter the final year of his contract but will now remain with Pittsburgh through 2030.

The kicker has played for the Steelers for eleven years and has long been one of the league’s most reliable specialists.

In his career, Boswell has converted 87.7 percent of his field goals and 95.7 percent of his extra points. He is a two-time Pro Bowler and was named to the First-Team All-Pro in 2024.

Last season, he made 27 of 32 field goals and 42 of 43 extra points. He also set a personal and franchise record: a 60-yard field goal to secure the win against the New York Jets.
