Chiefs rookie Peter Woods shows extraordinary generosity towards two members of his family after being drafted.
This action caused quite a stir. On Thursday evening, defensive lineman Peter Woods was selected in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. The 21-year-old’s name was called at position 29.
The outfits at his watch party were already striking. All of the participants were dressed entirely in white, with only the D-lineman standing out in the middle with his dark suit and lavish jewelry. According to “Palmetto Sports”, the event was officially a “White Party”.
But that was not all. The festivities did not take place in the Woods family home or in a restaurant. According to the medium, the venue was a Maserati car dealership in the US metropolis of Atlanta.
Anything but a coincidence. After his name was read out towards the end of the first round, Woods celebrated with his family and gave mom Deven and sister Denver each a new Maserati SUV.
Chiefs newcomer extremely generous
“There were two women in this process who really took care of me and looked after me,” Woods told the sports network in an interview.
“But let’s forget about the road to here. That’s my mom and my sister. They were really there for me when the doors were locked, the lights were out and people didn’t really know what was going on. But they knew.“
And further: ”Sometimes I don’t always say it out loud. Sometimes I get busy, so I thought it was really important to come up big and really let them know, because they deserve it, no doubt.”
The defensive lineman played for the Clemson Tigers in college. The Chiefs had gotten the 29th pick in a trade when they transferred cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams in March.
