At the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, the fans in attendance set a record on the first day.
The 2026 NFL Draft is currently taking place in the US city of Pittsburgh. The talent draft has set a new record. The first round of the draft was attended by 320,000 spectators on Thursday evening – more than ever before. This was announced by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell
The previous record was set two years ago in Detroit, when 275,000 fans watched the event live on the first evening.
In Pittsburgh, fans gathered in front of the stage, in Acrisure Stadium and in Point State Park, a public park in the city center.
By the way: The counting method of the best football league is quite controversial. Every time a person leaves the draft site and returns, another person is added to the total number.
Yes, this has always been done this way. Nevertheless, this is a rather strange process for the statistics-crazy NFL – and therefore a curious record.
