NFL: New job for Mike Tomlin

In January, Mike Tomlin resigned from his position with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now the successful coach has probably found a new job.

After almost 19 years, an era in Pittsburgh came to an end in January when Mike Tomlin stepped down as head coach of the Steelers.

Under the 54-year-old, the team won the Super Bowl in 2009 and the overall record of his tenure is positive with 193-114-2 and 13 playoff appearances. So it’s no wonder that the personnel situation is arousing covetousness.

And not only from other NFL teams, but also from TV broadcasters. Fox is said to have been interested in Tomlin, but according to “The Athletic”, “Coach T” has now opted for an analyst job at NBC.

In future, Tomlin will share his knowledge with viewers on the pregame show “Football Night in America” on Sundays.

Will Tomlin work as a head coach again?

This comes as no surprise, as TV broadcasters have reportedly been courting the coach for ten years. Firstly, because the “defensive mastermind” has exceptional football knowledge, and secondly because Tomlin is known for his eloquent and unique way of speaking.

The big question now is whether Tomlin really wants to work as a TV analyst in the long term or whether he will be drawn back to the sidelines of a football field at some point.

Because one thing is clear: if an NFL team is looking for a head coach in the future, Mike Tomlin’s name will always be in the draw.
