NFL: Trey Hendrickson speaks out on failed Crosby trade to the Baltimore Raven

Trey Hendrickson comments on the failed trade of fellow position player Maxx Crosby. Only this circumstance made his deal with the Baltimore Ravens possible.

After the Baltimore Ravens’ failed trade for Maxx Crosby, Ravens rookie Trey Hendrickson has spoken out on the subject.

“I was looking forward to working with him to put pressure on the opposing quarterback,” said the defensive end, who was traded from the Cincinnati Bengals to Baltimore instead of Crosby, on “The Set” podcast.

And further: “What an incredible opportunity that would have been to have two players like that, terrorizing quarterbacks and bringing down running backs. That excited me.”

But nothing came of the plan. Superstar Crosby did not pass the medical check and will therefore remain with the Las Vegas Raiders, at least for the time being.

Hendrickson is looking forward to a fresh start with the Ravens

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta had previously explained that Hendrickson was not plan B after the failure of the Crosby transfer, but rather plan A was to sign both Crosby and Hendrickson.

Despite the failed Crosby trade, Hendrickson is full of anticipation for his new team: “I’m looking forward to being part of something that has potential.”.
