After a difficult final season, the quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens wants to leave nothing to chance and is training hard to do so.
The NFL offseason is long, and the players keep fit in a variety of ways.
Lamar Jackson, quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, has now incorporated a new routine into his training program. The Ravens shared a video on their social media channels showing the 29-year-old training in boxing.
Jackson used both his right and left fist to work on the claws held by his athletics coach Dawson Saint Jour.
The quarterback cut a fine figure and generally looked extremely fit.
Lamar Jackson wants to bounce back after a difficult season
Possibly this new routine will help him to get through the next season with more stability after a season marked by injuries.
A thigh injury cost Jackson four games last season. In the 13 games he played, he recorded a negative record (6-7) for the first time. Now the 2018 first-round pick wants to strike back athletically – and is literally putting on the boxing gloves to do so.
“I salute all the boxers out there,” he wrote under the post.
