Another NFL pro shot in San Francisco

Professional football player Keion White has been the victim of a shooting. The defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers was shot in the ankle in the Californian metropolis and had to undergo surgery. This was announced by the club from the US professional league NFL. The incident occurred early Monday morning (local time), with the Super Bowl having been played in nearby Santa Clara on Sunday.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, White’s injuries are not life-threatening. No arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing. Initial findings indicate that there was a verbal altercation between two groups in a store before an unknown person fired shots. White (27) had transferred from the New England Patriots to the 49ers during the past season and failed with the team in the playoff quarterfinals against the eventual champions, the Seattle Seahawks.

In August 2024, Ricky Pearsall, wide receiver for the 49ers, suffered a gunshot wound during an attempted robbery in Union Square in San Francisco.
