The NFL franchise Carolina Panthers want to extend Bryce Young’s contract with the fifth-year option.
The Carolina Panthers are likely to make some decisions about their sporting future soon.
As Panthers GM Dan Morgan announced, the franchise will exercise the fifth-year option on quarterback Bryce Young.
The No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft would thus receive a guaranteed contract sum of $26.5 million for the 2027 season. Young recently led the Panthers to their first NFC South title and a home playoff game in ten years.
“Bryce has shown flashes of brilliance against tough opponents this season. I think as a team, we haven’t been as consistent from game to game as we would have liked. But I think that’s just part of having a young team. A young team that still needs to build continuity and find itself,“ Morgan is quoted as saying.
Praise also came from his teammates. ”I’m just proud of him and his development over the course of the year,” Derrick Brown said recently.
