NFL: Season over for Cardinals quarterback Murray

The Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL) will have to do without quarterback Kyler Murray for the rest of the season. The 27-year-old has been struggling with a foot injury since the fifth game day, which has not developed in a positive direction as hoped. This was confirmed by head coach Jonathan Gannon on Friday after the team’s training session.

Murray could theoretically have returned to training this week, but with a record of three wins and nine losses, the Cardinals have no chance of making the playoffs anyway. “It doesn’t make sense to bring him back. He’s out for the year,” Gannon said. Jacoby Brissett will replace Murray.
