The Pittsburgh Steelers will have to face the Chicago Bears without Aaron Rodgers. This was announced by head coach Mike Tomlin.
Aaron Rodgers will have to sit out Week 12. As head coach Mike Tomlin revealed on CBS, the four-time MVP will not be available for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ away game against the Chicago Bears.
Mason Rudolph will take over for the “Gunslinger.”
Rodgers is suffering from an injury to his left wrist, which he sustained in the 34-12 division duel against the Cincinnati Bengals. Rudolph had already stepped in during that game.
This will be the first regular season game Rodgers has missed since arriving in Pittsburgh. So far, he has 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions in ten appearances.
Steelers on course for playoffs with Rodgers
This will be Rudolph’s 14th start for the Steelers, for whom he is playing in his sixth season. So far, he has a record of 8-4-1. Pittsburgh is at the top of the AFC North with a 6-4 record, which would give them a home game in the Wild Card Round. However, they still have both games against the Baltimore Ravens and appearances against the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions to play.
