NFL: Seattle Seahawks trounce Washington Commanders – Jayden Daniels injured

The Seattle Seahawks celebrate a commanding victory over the Washington Commanders in the Sunday Night Game of the ninth NFL match day.

An easy win for the Seattle Seahawks. Quarterback Sam Darnold and his team won the Sunday Night Game of the ninth NFL match day against the Washington Commanders with a commanding 38-14 victory.

Darnold put on an absolutely stellar performance, especially in the first half. At halftime, he had completed 16 of 16 passes for 282 yards and four touchdowns. Rookie Tory Horton caught two passes, and Cody White, who was promoted from the practice squad, also found himself in the end zone thanks to a 60-yard touchdown.

After two quarters, the visitors from Seattle were already leading 31-7, and the Commanders were no longer a serious threat after the break.

Injury to Jayden Daniels

And to make matters worse, quarterback Jayden Daniels, who had scored the hosts’ only points with his touchdown run in the second quarter, had to leave the field again with an injury.

In the final quarter, the starter in his second NFL season left the field after his non-throwing arm was twisted in an ugly manner following a tackle. A diagnosis is still pending. The Seahawks remain at the top of the NFC West with a 6-2 record, while the Commanders are stagnating in third place in the NFC East with only three wins and already six losses.
