NFL: Where will Bengals star Trey Hendrickson end up? One team appears to be the favorite in the trade

Rumors have been circulating for months that this team is considering a bold move for disgruntled Bengals defensive lineman Trey Hendrickson.

Rumor has it that the Las Vegas Raiders are the favorites in the race to sign Trey Hendrickson. Raiders journalist Hondo Carpenter claims to have heard this from an NFL official: “I have no doubt that the Raiders are the frontrunners. Tom Brady and owner Mark Davis want to win now, and general manager John Spytek isn’t afraid to make bold decisions.”

According to Sports Illustrated, the Bengals are demanding several draft picks or a combination of players and picks for Hendrickson. Experts speculate that one player plus a third-round pick could be enough to get him.

If the pass rusher were to join the Raiders, he would significantly strengthen the defensive line alongside Maxx Crosby.

In addition, the Raiders would have nearly $35 million in cap space, giving them flexibility in such a trade. The new leadership under Brady, Davis, and Spytek seems ready to make a strong statement in the league.

NFL: Experienced reinforcement for the Raiders defense

Hendrickson, who is one of the more experienced players at 30 years old, could significantly strengthen the Raiders defense. The manager added:
“The move would fit Pete Carroll’s mentality: don’t be afraid of anything that could improve the team.”
