NFL – Tennessee Titans part ways with Treylon Burks

The Tennessee Titans have parted ways with Treylon Burks. He had previously broken his collarbone.

Treylon Burks and the Tennessee Titans are going their separate ways. As the NFL team announced, the wide receiver was waived/injured from the roster on Monday.

He had suffered a broken collarbone shortly before.

Burks will now initially be placed on the waiver list. In theory, the other 31 NFL teams can sign him. If that does not happen, he will return to the Titans’ injured reserve list.

It is likely that Burks will then be released from his contract at a later date with a so-called injury settlement.

The Titans are thus ending a sporting misunderstanding. They had selected Burks in the 2022 draft at position 18. However, the wide receiver was never able to live up to expectations.

In his rookie season, he recorded just 444 yards. Significantly, that remains his career best to date. In three seasons, he had a total of just 53 receptions for 699 yards and a single touchdown.

However, Burks missed parts of the 2023 season due to a concussion and ongoing knee problems. In 2024, he suffered a torn cruciate ligament.
