Patrick Mahomes posts a shirtless photo online. A radio host expresses shock at the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s appearance and fitness.
We all know how it is. Vacation. Break. You eat more, you exercise less. You might put on a little weight.
Even NFL stars are not immune to this process. Superstar Patrick Mahomes posted a shirtless photo on his Instagram channel. His wife Brittany is in his arms.
Mahomes himself likes to joke that he doesn’t have the six-pack body of a model, referring to himself as having a “dad bod.”
But it’s one thing when a person says that about themselves. It’s quite another when a radio show host takes a swing at the star quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs and publicly insults him.
Mahomes “fat” and ‘embarrassing’ – personal trainer responds
Kevin Kietzman doesn’t mince his words. The host of a Kansas City radio show is shocked by Mahomes’ appearance in the photo:
“He’s fat! He’s embarrassing. Stop eating fast food. Do some sit-ups. Do something! I don’t get it. You can’t have an NFL career if you eat nothing but Taco Bell and fried chicken. You have a $500 million contract, it’s your job. All he does is eat and drink during the offseason.”
Damn: Kansas City radio host Kevin Kietzman called Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes “fat” and said he’s an ‘embarrassment’ after a shirtless picture of Mahomes from July 4th surfaced on social media:
“He’s fat, he’s an embarrassment. Stop the fast food, do a sit-up, do… pic.twitter.com/eq2HVny2QN

Harsh words. Words that will not go unanswered.
Bobby Stroupe, Mahomes’ personal trainer, challenges the radio host: “Send me your location. You seem to need attention. If you want to know what being in shape means, come to camp and train with us. Run a hurry-up offense and scramble in several plays in a row. You have no idea what it takes. It’s not about looks, it’s about performance.”
Boom.
Five-time Super Bowl participant Mahomes has not yet commented on the matter. But the fact is that his last season was the weakest of his career in terms of individual performance.
How much this has to do with his body is debatable. Tom Brady was never a “gym fanatic” either, and he’s the most successful football player in history.
