The ESPN Monday Night Crew kept referring to NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes as “Pat” during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Baltimore Ravens – which again doesn’t suit his mother, Randi Mahomes.
The ESPN Monday Night Football Crew got Randi Mahomes, mother of quarterback superstar Patrick Mahomes, upset. The moderators kept referring to her son as “Pat” Mahomes during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Baltimore Ravens. Randi watched the game from home and was not very enthusiastic about the pronunciation of the speakers.
If this announcer doesn’t stop calling my son Pat.. ugh i may scream… lol #help @ESPNNFL @espn

Family beef
The background: Randi deliberately calls her son Patrick. Mahomes is fully with mom in this matter and with a smile she told “ESPN” to obey her: “Oh shit, I don’t want her to be mad. You should change that quickly. Only my dad calls me Pat. That’s their beef.”
Father Pat Mahomes played baseball – Patrick is Super Bowl Champion
Quarterback Patrick Lavon Mahomes II was named after his sire Patrick Lavon Mahomes Sr. He was known as “Pat Mahomes” and played as a pitcher in the MLB. He was active in the highest baseball division for twelve years, including both Minnesota Twins and the New York Mets. The quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs agrees with the nickname, but his mother does not agree with it at all.

“ESPN” apologized during the broadcast, the speakers did not call him “Pat” anymore. Randi accepted the apology with a wink. She herself claimed that it was a “mom thing”.

The Chiefs-QB showed his gala form once again at the Monday Night Game and set the next NFL record.
The MVP 2018 put Lamar Jackson completely in the shade. He delivered 31 of 42 passes for 385 yards and four touchdowns. Once he ran into the end zone himself. In the end, he achieved a Passer Rating of 133.5 – world class! His mother can be proud of her PATRICK.
