NFL: Cincinnati Bengals apparently stepping up efforts to extend Ja’Marr Chase

The Bengals would like to keep their star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase beyond 2025. Negotiations appear to be entering the home stretch – with a monster salary in the offing

The NFL in a money frenzy: Following CeeDee Lamb’s record extension and a mega-contract for Brandon Aiyuk, Ja’Marr Chase could soon also sign a sensational contract.

According to ESPN, the Cincinnati Bengals are stepping on the gas in negotiations with their star wide receiver. Chase is currently only tied to the franchise for the next two seasons.

While a decision is not said to be imminent, those in charge are apparently quite optimistic. In the best-case scenario, the 24-year-old could return to the training pitch as early as next week.

Chase probably demands astronomical salary

The salary issue would have to be clarified. Chase would probably earn “significantly more” than 30 million dollars per year on average. According to rumors, he would like to exceed the salary of top earner Justin Jefferson. This amounts to 140 million dollars in total or 35 million dollars a year.

The fact is that he can expect a more than decent increase. In 2024, “only” just under five million dollars will flow into Chase’s account, although the US American is one of the best NFL players at his position
