NFL – Green Bay Packers: Loss of Aaron Jones “very tough” according to Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers have lost Aaron Jones at the running back position and re-signed Josh Jacobs. Not so easy for quarterback Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers made a significant change in the offensive backfield this past offseason. Running back and former Raiders star Josh Jacobs was signed, while Aaron Jones was released after refusing to take a pay cut for the 2024 season.

Jones missed some time last year due to injury, but still finished his final season with the Cheeseheads with five straight games with more than 100 rushing yards.

Quarterback Jordan Love said he misses the running back who is extremely popular in Green Bay. “Aaron Jones is such a special player. A special guy in this locker room since I’ve been here. Everybody loved Aaron, and it was very tough,” the signal caller explained.

He continued: “It was one of those things you can’t control. To get Josh here is obviously great. I’m looking forward to seeing him on the field. He’s a great player. He’s been a great teammate so far. It’s been good to get to know him and I’m excited to see what he can do this year. “

By the way, Jones is not completely out of the picture for Love and his former teammates. Because the running back has moved to division rival Minnesota Vikings, they have two clashes coming up in the regular season.
