The charges against Kenny Stills, wide receiver for Houston Texans, have been dropped. The 28-year-old was arrested as part of a protest.
The charges against the NFL receiver, Kenny Stills, who was temporarily detained for “intimidating a trial participant”, were dropped. The Houston Texans’ passport receiver protested on July 14 against the murder of African-American Breonna Taylor, who was killed by police shots in her own apartment in March. The three police officers involved have not yet been charged.
Stills has long been a vocal advocate for social justice and against police violence and racism. He also attended the funeral service for George Floyd, who was also killed by police violence.
