With just over two months to go before the start of the season, the Dallas Cowboys are in a bad mood. Star player Micah Parsons is disappointed in teammate Malik Hooker.
NFL players and podcasts have gone hand in hand for some time now. More and more players are using their platforms to talk about their games, the NFL or their private lives – including Micah Parsons.
The star player of the Dallas Cowboys launched his podcast “The Edge with Micah Parsons” a year ago, and during the season, he provides a weekly overview of current events in the NFL and around the Cowboys.
He has now had to take criticism for this – from within his own ranks. “I hope he knows what he’s doing. Because if we can’t defend the run but you’re doing a podcast every week, what’s more important to you? Is the audience more important to you or the success of our team?” said safety Malik Hooker during an appearance on the “All Facts no Brakes” podcast.
Micah Parsons reacts with disappointment
Parsons got wind of the criticism and responded in a social media post that has already been deleted. “I wish you would have said that to my face and not on some podcast. You have my number and are sitting next to me in the changing room”.
Parsons also added that he always records his podcast on his day off and that his preparations for the upcoming games in the NFL would not be affected in any way.
