The cooperation between the Carolina Panthers and Eintracht Frankfurt is official. The NFL is thus opening up another market in Germany. Eintracht also wants to profit from it
Munich – The NFL is expanding its activities in Germany.
Only a few weeks after the first game of the season at the Allianz Arena in Munich between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Seattle Seahawks, Eintracht Frankfurt and the Carolina Panthers announced a cooperation. This was announced by both clubs in their own statements.
Eintracht: “Professional exchange on different levels “
“Both clubs agreed on a non-exclusive partnership, which includes an exchange of expertise on various levels and is expected to develop steadily in the coming months,” Eintracht’s press release reads.
The Hessians added that they would support the Panthers in hosting watch parties.
According to the Panthers, this will initially focus on the Super Bowl watch party in February, which will be jointly hosted by the two clubs at Eintracht’s stadium in Frankfurt.
Eintracht Frankfurt wants access to the US market
The Hessians, in turn, want to use the cooperation “to gain further access to the US market”, they say. Accordingly, some Eintracht games are also to be seen as public viewing events in Charlotte with the support of the Panthers.
Next year, the NFL will make its first guest appearance in Frankfurt with a game of the Regular Season. It is very possible that one team then will be the Panthers. It is also possible that another game will take place in Munich in 2023, as reported by the “Münchner Merkur”.
In addition to the Carolina Panthers and the Buccaneers, the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs have also secured marketing rights for the German market.
