There continues to be no peace at the Washington Football Team. Former quarterback Robert Griffin III is planning a tell-all book that will reveal his findings on the abuse scandal, among other things.

Munich/Washington – Once upon a time, Robert Griffin III was considered the hottest commodity in the NFL.

When the quarterback was drafted by the then Washington Redskins in 2012, he immediately led the team to the playoffs. Due to a serious knee injury, he was then rarely able to build on his initial success.

At the time, controversy arose because the franchise continued to use him in the playoffs despite the obvious injury.

Meanwhile, “RG3” is listed as a free agent after stints with the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens. As he recently announced, he is now planning to write a book about his experiences in Washington.

Reveal book: “Surviving Washington “

Under the name “Surviving Washington”, the 31-year-old wants to tell about all the experiences he had during his time at the scandal-ridden franchise. “It’s been said that the truth sets you free. So I’m going to come out with it unfiltered,” he announced.

“I will reveal everything about the faulty medical treatment. This is one of the most mismanaged franchises in all of sports,” the quarterback smacked.

Another major issue is the ongoing abuse scandal that is alleged to have occurred within the franchise over a long period of time. “I’m going to open your eyes with what I have to say about sexual harassment in this building.”

Allegations against the club first emerged as early as 2020, when 15 women came forward about their experiences of sexual harassment in relation to the football team. In the meantime, even the US Congress intervened in the issue.

Was Griffin sexually harassed?

Griffin’s public statements on the issue of sexual harassment are now causing a stir. When asked by the media on “ProFootballTalk” why he did not go public with his knowledge sooner, he answered cryptically.

“Victims of sexual harassment should tell their story when they feel ready. The book is not about other people’s issues, it’s about my experience of sexual harassment,” he replied on Twitter.

In addition, the Japanese-born 31-year-old shared a post by his wife. “To be clear. It’s not about other people’s stories, it’s about his own experiences he had to go through in Washington,” it reads. ProFootballTalk” did not receive an answer to the question of whether he had been personally harassed or whether he had personally experienced anything.

His co-author Gary Myers was much more precise: “He heard a lot of things but didn’t experience them himself. A lot of it relates to stories that have already been published by the ‘Washington Post’.”

On social media, Griffin is taking some flak. In addition to the unclear statements on the subject, he is accused of using the fates of other people to make money with the book. The book is not due to be published until August next year anyway.
