Bo Nix got off to a bad start with the Denver Broncos. And apparently there is a lot of gossip about the rookie quarterback.

The record is – let’s put it cautiously – improvable.

In the first two games of his NFL career, Bo Nix threw for 384 yards. He completed almost 60 percent of his throws. However, there was no touchdown, just four interceptions. And two defeats.

And a lot of ridicule, it seems.

NFL reporter James Palmer revealed this in the podcast “89”. He had asked around about the Denver Broncos’ last opponent. Nix and Co. lost 6-13 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. And obviously, the Broncos’ plays are transparent because of their playmaker.

” “I talk to the Steelers cornerbacks and they’re sitting there laughing in the corner saying, ‘We knew the playbook was that big,’“ Palmer said, gesturing at the small size.

”We knew they weren’t going to try any throws and we knew what he liked to do. They would make it easy for him to throw here and here, and that was all we had to worry about.”

NFL: Garrett and the mysterious double injury

Nix takes it in his stride.

“If you play long enough, you’re going to fail over and over again,” Nix said. “It’s going to knock you down. It’s going to get you down. The value of the sport is that it’s like life. Sometimes you’re just going to have to keep taking hits and getting back up, and then eventually you’ll get it and you’ll get back on your feet and move forward.”

The coach is encouraging. “The boy has been through this before,” said Sean Payton. “It would be different if he didn’t have the right attitude.”

Still, Nix knows the NFL is a different ballgame than college: “If you play too simplistic, they’re going to pick you apart. So it’s a fine line. I had a good feeling when the plan came up. I think we just have to execute the plays better.”

The Broncos had selected the 24-year-old in the 2024 draft at twelfth position.
