Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson are having an unfortunate rookie season and are squandering their last theoretical chance of making the playoffs.
Munich – They were signed as hopefuls and have so far failed to live up to the high expectations. Trevor Lawrence, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ No. 1 pick, and Zach Wilson, the New York Jets’ No. 2 pick, squandered their last chance at the playoffs on Sunday at the same time as their teams.
Lawrence and the Jaguars went 0-20 against the Tennessee Titans and conceded their 11th loss in their 13th game of the season.
Wilson and the Jets did not fare much better in a 30-9 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Jets are now at ten losses and only three wins.
The Jets’ loss to the Saints also ended the Detroit Lions’ faintest hopes. Only in exceptional constellations would the team around Amon-Ra St. Brown still have had a chance of reaching the knockout round.
Before the Jets and Jaguars, the Houston Texans had already been knocked out.
