NFL: Dion Dawkins in shock – plane crashes in Bills star’s garden

A private plane crashed on Dion Dawkins’ property on Thursday. One person was killed.

Major shock for NFL star Dion Dawkins. A private plane crashed in the backyard of the Buffalo Bills offensive tackle last Thursday.

As reported by the local police, the pilot of the aircraft was killed in the accident. Dawkins and his family were not harmed.

The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene, and the police assume that mechanical problems caused the crash.

According to the police, the plane was on its way to New York when it crashed into a wooded area on Dawson’s property at around 11:22 a.m.

The plane apparently went up in flames immediately. The East Aurora (New York) fire department reported that the fire was extinguished in around half an hour.

Dawkins is “glad that my family is okay”

The Bills star told reporters on Thursday that he was getting ready for training in the hot tub when he heard the news. He was then released from training by his team.

“I just hope the pilot’s family is okay. Today someone lost their life in an accident. I’m glad my family is perfectly fine.”

The Bills face the New England Patriots on Sunday (from 22:25 in the live ticker). Dawkins will probably be there.
