NFL – Kansas City Chiefs: Harrison Butker makes his choice in the US election

Who will be the next US president? Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker has committed to a candidate.

This choice is not really surprising: Harrison Butker officially supports Donald Trump in the US presidential election campaign. The Kansas City Chiefs kicker confirmed this in the talk show “The Ingraham Angle”.

The controversial NFL professional revealed that there is one issue in particular that makes him support the Republican candidate Trump. He challenges Kamala Harris, who is running for the Democrats.

“I support the president who, in my opinion, will be the pro-life president par excellence, and that is Donald Trump,” said the 29-year-old.

Pro-life is a movement that opposes abortion. “The issue [pro-life] is the most important issue to me. I want us to fight for the most vulnerable, the unborn, and that should be our priority,” Butker said.

“I think you have to vote for the one who stands up for life the most, and we have to be prayerful men who put God first. I think that’s best for our country,” said the three-time Super Bowl winner.
Butker is causing irritation and negative headlines.

Butker had caused irritation and negative headlines in recent months with statements and views, including a sexist and homophobic speech that sparked outrage worldwide.

But the Chiefs kicker did not back down from his views, even though there was a petition with tens of thousands of signatures calling for the 29-year-old’s dismissal.

Instead, he defended the speech. “I stand by what I say,” Butker explained, “I look at the offseason as kind of a five-month period where I can just present myself as Harrison Butker and as a devout Catholic. And then when the season starts, I try to focus on football as much as possible and not be a distraction for the Chiefs.”
