NFL – Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys: Is Amon-Ra St. Brown and Lewis going to go at it again?

When the Detroit Lions take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, it’s going to be a tough game on the pitch. Verbally, too. Right in the middle of it: Amon-Ra St. Brown.

This promises to be a hot duel.

Because Jourdan Lewis is getting in the mood before his Dallas Cowboys face the Detroit Lions in Week 6 of the NFL on Sunday. He will then face an old acquaintance: Amon-Ra St. Brown.

“I remember him trying to expose me on a podcast,” the cornerback said.

“We’ll be playing each other, so we’ll see each other and have a game together,” Lewis said. ‘We’ll see what’s real and what’s not.’

What happened? When the two faced off last season, it was apparently a rough ride on the court, especially verbally. Lewis practices trash talk at its finest.

Amon-Ra St. Brown: “He talked crazy stuff”

“He talked crazy stuff,” St. Brown said in July on the “Pivot Podcast.” “I’ve never heard such shit. He came up with crazy stuff,” he added:

“He just walked in. At that point, I’m like, I don’t know what he’s saying. I’m trying to make plays, win the game. I’m not worried about him. But as soon as he started talking like that, I’m like, ‘All right…'”

Amon-Ra St. Brown loves it

So it could be entertaining on Sunday, literally. And what does St. Brown, who has four catches for 252 yards and two touchdowns in 2024, have to say about it?

“Yeah, I usually don’t get too involved,” he said about crash talk.

“I might say something back a little bit, but mostly it energizes me and gets me going. So, I love it.”
In the 19-20 loss to the Cowboys in December 2023, St. Brown had nine receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.

“I’m passionate about it and I don’t want to be friends with everyone, especially a Detroit Lion who isn’t from Detroit,” Lewis wrote on Instagram after St. Brown’s podcast statements. He himself is from Detroit.
