On social media, the New York Giants show off their new-old center circle design and the perimeter design. The anniversary clothing, which takes some getting used to, is also already known
The New York Giants are celebrating their 100th NFL season and have come up with a whole host of special features to mark the occasion. Among other things, fans can look forward to a few surprises in the stadium when the franchise welcomes the Minnesota Vikings on September 8.
The traditional club logo on the pitch immediately catches the eye. The 1950 version with the New York skyline and a giant football player behind the Empire State Building on a red background adorns the center circle in the MetLife Stadium.
The boards also have a new look. They commemorate all previous logos as well as the Giants’ four NFL championships and four Super Bowl triumphs. The last of these occurred in 2011.
The club and new signing Jakob Johnson presented an anniversary collection back in May. The New York pros will wear it up to twice during the upcoming season.
The jersey and helmet are in red and blue in reference to 1933 and 1938 respectively. The cream-colored pants are intended to be reminiscent of those from 1925.
