Following the dismissal of head coach Frank Reich, the Carolina Panthers are on the lookout for a successor. Owner David Tepper’s club could have found what it is looking for in college football.
The currently suspended Head Coach Jim Harbaugh of the Michigan Wolverines is once again attracting the attention of several NFL teams this year.
In recent seasons, Harbaugh has repeatedly been linked with a move back to the NFL. According to “The Athletic”, the Panthers and Chicago Bears are currently keeping an eye on him.
The Panthers recently sacked head coach Frank Reich after a disappointing season, while Chris Tabor, who is currently at the helm, is only seen as a temporary solution.
Bears currently not looking
The Panthers and Harbaugh were already in talks last offseason. The 59-year-old was already active in the NFL as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014. He has been in charge of the Michigan Wolverines since 2015.
Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears – at least officially – are not looking. Head coach Matt Eberflus is still in office. However, he has not yet been able to lead the Bears to a green branch
