Top prospect Bryce Young will not participate in quarterback workouts at the Scouting Combine before the draft.
The 21-year-old will instead not throw in front of NFL franchise scouts again until the Alabama Crimson Tide’s Pro Day on March 23, Jordan Reid of “ESPN” reports. Young will, however, participate in medical examinations at the Combine.
According to the report, the other quarterback prospects around C.J. Stroud of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Will Lewis of the Kentucky Wildcats and Anthony Richardson of the Florida Gators will, however, participate in pass drills next Saturday.
All four of the aforementioned junior playmakers are considered likely first-round picks in this year’s draft, which takes place April 27-29 in Kansas City.
